You can log in by clicking on the System Login menu located at the UZEM Distance Education System (htttps://uzem.mehmetakif.edu.tr) address.
Two options are available for you to log in to the system on the welcome screen. To log in with e-government, one of these methods, click on the "Log in with e-Government" button on the welcome screen.
This method will redirect you to the e-government gate identity verification system. Here, there are many options such as mobile signature, e-signature, internet banking that you can log into the system. Let's use the e-Government Password login field on the welcome screen. For this, enter our TC Identity Number and e-government password in the forum fields in order and then click the Login button.
The second option to log into the system is to use your corporate email information. To log in with this method, enter your corporate email in the username form field on the welcome screen, your corporate email password in the password form field, and click the Login button.
After logging into the teaching management system, you need to first enable the editing mode to create a new live lesson. Go to the section where you want to add your virtual classroom and click on "Add a new activity or resource". From the window that opens, select the BigBlueButton event. In the settings tab that opens, you can first create the name of your virtual classroom. For this, fill in the virtual classroom name form field in the general settings area as "Virtual Classroom-Lesson ID".
To prevent students from entering the virtual classroom other than the instructor, click on the Activity/Room Settings tab and enable the "Viewers must wait until the moderator joins" checkbox. Before adding our virtual classroom, we can make a few more settings related to in-class interaction. The area where we can find these settings is the lock settings tab. By checking the checkboxes here, you can turn off the students' webcams, microphones when the virtual class starts. You can prevent them from chatting among themselves, writing to the general chat area or shared notes area. Please remember that you can reconfigure all these settings after your virtual class starts.
Now click on one of the options "Save and return to course" or "Save and display" below to create the virtual classroom with the necessary settings.
To join the virtual class you have created, exit the edit mode and click on the BigBlueButton event from the area where you added the virtual class. In the opened virtual class event, you will have started your virtual class by clicking the "Join Session" button.
There could be several reasons for this problem.
- If you are using an ad blocker in your browser, please remove it. Some ad blockers prevent entering live classes.
- Make sure your browser is definitely the most up-to-date version. Outdated browsers can cause such problems.
- Your internet connection may have been disconnected or slowed down. Check your internet connection.
- There may be a problem with your device. Try with a different device.
Record your voice with the sound recorder application on the Operating System and listen to it. Record your image with the image recorder application and watch it.
If there is no hardware problem in the tests performed, make sure you activate your microphone and camera when you attend the live class.
If your internet connection speed is low or too many people are using it, it will affect your upload speed and reduce your efficiency. Make sure that the internet used for a more quality and efficient sound and image transmission during the live lesson is not shared.
Make sure that no one else in the environment is using the internet for a more quality and efficient sound and image transmission during the live lesson.
